The 1st Royal Pacific Islands Regiment (1RPIR) has carried out a community cleanathon as part of an initiative by its Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Eddie Jarope.

The activity focused on promoting community engagement and improving cleanliness across areas surrounding Taurama Barracks, including Manu Auto Port, Vadavada and Funky.

The initiative also aims to promote hygiene, food and water security and preventive health practices while strengthening cooperation between the military and nearby communities.

The cleanathon forms part of 1RPIR’s broader commitment to supporting healthier and cleaner communities.
