Pangu Pati candidate Lohia Boe Samuel was formally announced member-elect for the Moresby North West byelection after a landslide victory of 25, 185 votes surpassing the absolute majority of 23,249.

Mr Boe Samuel was declared winner after exclusion #39.

Runner up and second candidate Joe Tonde collected 12,201 votes while Thaddeus Kambane came third with 9,116.
