POLISH LEADER BLAMES LOW BIRTH RATE ON ALCOHOL
In remarks which have sparked outrage and have been branded as "insulting" to women, Jaroslaw Kaczynski also said the average man "to develop alcoholism has to drink excessively for 20 years" and "a woman only two".
Young women drinking too much is partly to blame for Poland's low birth rate, the country's ruling party leader has said.
In remarks which have sparked outrage and have been branded as "insulting" to women, Jaroslaw Kaczynski said he does not favour "very early motherhood" because a woman must mature before having children.
The leader of the populist ruling party Law and Justice said if women abuse alcohol up to the age of 25, then "it's not a good prognosis in these matters".
"And here it is sometimes necessary to say a little openly, some bitter things. If, for example, the situation remains such that, until the age of 25, girls, young women, drink the same amount as their peers, there will be no children," said Mr Kaczynski.
He added that the average man "to develop alcoholism has to drink excessively for 20 years" and "a woman only two".
"I am really a sincere supporter of women's equality, but I am not a supporter of women pretending to be men, and men pretending to be women, because this is something completely different," he said.
Mr Kaczynski made the comment at the weekend as he travelled around the country seeking to rally support for his party ahead of next year's parliamentary election.

TUNNEL DISCOVERED BENEATH EGYPTIAN TEMPLE MAY LEAD TO CLEOPATRA'S TOMB
Kathleen Martinez, an archaeologist at the University of Santo Domingo, has been searching for the lost tomb of Cleopatra for nearly 20 years. Now she believes she's made a pivotal breakthrough.
Martinez and her team uncovered a 1,305-meter (4,281-foot) tunnel, located 13 meters (43 feet) underground, the Egyptian Ministry for Tourism and Antiquities recently announced -- an architectural design experts called an "engineering miracle."
"The excavation revealed a huge religious center with three sanctuaries, a sacred lake, more than 1,500 objects, busts, statues, golden pieces, a huge collection of coins portraying Alexander the Great, Queen Cleopatra and the Ptolemies," Martinez told CNN.
"The most interesting discovery is the complex of tunnels leading to the Mediterranean Sea and sunken structures," she added. Exploring these underwater structures will be the next stage of her search for the Egyptian queen's lost tomb -- a journey that began in 2005.
"My perseverance cannot be confused with obsession. I admire Cleopatra as a historical character. She was a victim of propaganda by the Romans, aiming to distort her image," Martinez said.
"She was an educated woman, probably the first one who studied formally at the Museum in Alexandria, the center of culture in her time," according to Martinez, who said she admires Cleopatra as a student, a linguist, a mother and a philosopher.
When her husband, the Roman general Mark Antony, died in her arms in 30 BCE, Cleopatra took her own life soon after by allowing an asp to bite her, according to popular belief. The moment has been immortalized in art and literature -- but, more than two millennia later, little is known about where their remains lie.
A series of clues led Martinez to believe Cleopatra's tomb might be located in the Temple of Osiris in the ruined city of Taposiris Magna, on Egypt's northern coast, where the Nile River meets the Mediterranean.
Chief among them was the name itself.According to Martinez,Cleopatra was considered in her time to be "the human incarnation of the goddess Isis," as Antony was considered to be that of the god Orisis, Isis' husband.
Martinez believes Cleopatra may have chosen to bury her husband in the temple to reflect this myth. Of all the 20 temples around Alexandria she has studied, Martinez said, "no other place, structure or temple combines so many conditions as the temple of Taposiris Magna."
In 2004, Martinez took her theory to Zahi Hawass, an Egyptian archaeologist who was then Egypt's minister for antiquities affairs. Her project was approved a year later.
And after years of searching, Martinez feels she is getting close.
The excavations so far have revealed that "the temple was dedicated to Isis" -- which Martinez believes is another sign that the lost tomb lies nearby -- as well as the tunnels below the sea.
Now, Martinez said, she is at "the beginning of a new journey" -- underwater excavations.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Egyptian coastline has been battered by earthquakes over the centuries, causing parts of the Taposiris Magna to collapse and sink under the waves.
This is where Martinez and her team are looking next. Although it is "too early to know where these tunnels lead," she is hopeful.
If the tunnels lead to Cleopatra, "it will be the most important discovery of the century," she said.

DISCOVERY OF 2000-YEAR-OLD STATUES IN ITALY 'REWRITES HISTORY'
Archaeologists have found 24 almost perfectly preserved bronze statues in Italy believed to date back to ancient Roman times.
The statues were discovered under the muddy ruins of an ancient bathhouse in San Casciano dei Bagni, a hilltop town in Tuscany about 100 miles north of the capital city, Rome.
The statues are of Roman gods such as Hygieia and Apollo and are around 2,300 years old.
One expert said the find could "rewrite history".
The statues - which were discovered alongside 6,000 bronze, silver and gold coins in mud beneath the ancient baths - date back to between the 2nd Century BC and the 1st Century AD.
The Italian culture ministry said the period of time period saw "great transformation in ancient Tuscany" as the area changed from Etruscan to Roman rule.
Baths in Roman times were for bathing and relaxing and a bit like today's leisure centres where lots of people could go and enjoy spending time in large pools of warm water.
There was also ritual significance to the water, for example at the site of ancient Roman baths in Bath in the UK, a hot spring of water was thought to be a link to the underworld and the goddess Sulis Minerva. People would throw presents like jewellery and money into the pool of water so she would look after them and their families in the afterlife.
Similarly, the offerings discovered thrown into the baths in Tuscany, were of great value suggesting that they belonged to wealthy Etruscan and Roman families, from landowners, to possibly even Roman emperors.
Jacopo Tabolli, an assistant professor from the University for Foreigners in Siena who lead the dig suggested that the statues had been covered in hot bath waters in a sort of ritual. "You give to the water because you hope that the water gives something back to you," he said.
The Etruscan civilization occupied a large area of central Italy before the Roman empire, including the modern-day regions of Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany where they built some of the earliest cities in Europe. The Etruscans also had a strong influence on Roman culture and traditions.
As Christianity became the dominant religious faith in the region, the baths were closed down, but not destroyed.
Instead the pools were sealed with heavy stone pillars while the statues were left in the sacred water.
The statues, which were preserved by the water, will be taken to a restoration laboratory in nearby Grosseto, before eventually being put on display in a new museum in San Casciano just south of the city of Florence.
Massimo Osanna, director general of Italy's state museums, said the discovery was "certainly one of the most significant bronze finds ever made in the history of the ancient Mediterranean".

STUDENT ARRESTED AFTER EGGS THROWN AT KING CHARLES
A man has been arrested after eggs were thrown at the King and Queen Consort during a visit to York.
A protester was restrained by police as crowds gathered at Micklegate Bar, the traditional royal entrance into the city, to greet the couple.
The 23-year-old was heard to shout "this country was built on the blood of slaves" as he was restrained.
The man, a University of York student, was held on suspicion of a public order offence and remains in custody.
People in the crowd started chanting "God save the King" and "shame on you" at the demonstrator.
The incident occurred on the second day of an official royal visit to Yorkshire, during which the King and Queen Consort later travelled to Doncaster.
The university said it was "appalled" by the images and would be reviewing the incident in line with its misconduct procedures.
The royal couple were being welcomed by city leaders in York when several eggs were thrown at them as the protester booed the pair.
Charles continued shaking hands with dignitaries including the Lord Mayor as the eggs flew in his direction, pausing briefly to look at the cracked shells on the ground.
The eggs missed the King and Queen Consort and they were ushered away.
Several officers were seen restraining a man on the ground behind temporary fencing set up for the King's visit.
Witness Kim Oldfield, owner of the Blossom Street Gallery, said she was standing in the doorway of her shop "enjoying" the couple's arrival when she heard "some booing and eggs flying".
"I glanced across, [saw] the police just descended on the barrier and tried to drag this chap over the top.
"About five eggs he'd managed to send.
"Camilla sort of flinched a little bit when the booing started but they [police] quelled it really quickly. Just a shame they spoilt what was a lovely moment."
The near miss with eggs being thrown by a protester shows how vulnerable the King can be on such occasions.
King Charles has been a very accessible figure to crowds of well-wishers. He's been shaking hands, swapping jokes and literally become a hands-on monarch during his walkabouts.
The King seems to have enjoyed the warmth of the response, such as when he met people in the days following the death of his mother. Yesterday he greeted crowds lining the streets in Leeds, facing a sea of mobile phones recording the moment.
Senior politicians in the UK are unlikely now to be so open to the randomness of such a gathering. And it would be even less likely for the tight security surrounding a US president. Who knows what people may be carrying?
But there's a trade-off between security and being visible to people, and these can be informal and hard-to-control events, with little separation between the King and the crowds.
In this case it included protestors with a 'Not My King' banner. And from only a few yards away, eggs were thrown.
The King seemed unperturbed, the police responded quickly, but by then the eggs had already landed.
Charles appeared unfazed as he continued greeting the crowds in a traditional ceremony which saw the sovereign officially welcomed to the city of York by the Lord Mayor.
The ceremony was last carried out by his late mother Queen Elizabeth II in 2012.
The King and Queen Consort had visited York to unveil a statue of Her Majesty at York Minster, the first to be installed since her death.
The Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, said the incident had not put the royal couple off meeting the public.
He told the BBC: "Those in public life are in positions of vulnerability at times and I certainly want to live in a country, and indeed in a world, where we're not so surrounded by people minding us that we can't meet people and chat with people.
"That is certainly what the King and the Queen Consort want. They were out chatting with people [later in the day]. So I don't think they've let it affect them."
Later, the King was cheered by crowds as he arrived in Doncaster in South Yorkshire to formally confer its city status.
Charles and Camilla then attended a reception with a menu including egg and watercress sandwiches.

STATE AVIATION HEADS MUST BE PROFESSIONAL IN THEIR CONDUCT: SCHNAUBELT
The Minister for Transport and Civil Aviation Walter Schnaubelt on behalf of the Marape-Rosso Government has urged Departmental Heads, Agency Heads and State Aviation Enterprise Heads under my Department to conduct
themselves in a professional and responsible manner, upholding the laws of our country and delivering
the required services to the people of our country and protecting the assets within their control.
The Minister said on 11 November 2022, the Managing Director, National Airport Corporation (NAC) Mr. Rex Kiponge was charged under Section 280 of the Civil Aviation Act 2000 for allowing operation of the Nadzab
and Kiunga aerodromes without valid aerodrome operating certificates.
"Mr Kiponge had been invited to the CASA PNG headquarters on 13, 14 and 15 September, 21
September, and 21 October 2022 for questioning in relation to breaching Section 280 of the Civil
Aviation Act 2000 (as amended)."
Minister Schnaubelt said Mr Kiponge refused to attend via instructions through his lawyers Warner Shand in writing on the 15th of September 2022.
"I strongly condemn the actions by the NAC MD to avoid the invitation from CASA PNG to attend an
interview to answer to the Section 280 charges of the Civil Aviation Act 2000," said Schnaubelt.
"I support the actions of the Police in arresting Mr. Kiponge and delivering him to the CASA PNG
Headquarters to be charged. I also commend them for this action."
Minister Schnaubelt said on 12 November 2022, MD NAC, Mr. Rex Kiponge sought a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) from NiuSky Pacific Limited for a purported breach of Security on 12 November 2022. NiuSky Pacific
Limited issued the NOTAM on 12 November 2022.
He said it is unfortunate that the arrest of Mr. Kiponge led to the closure of the Port Moresby Jackson Airport
on the morning of 12th November 2022.
This would have been avoided had Mr. Kiponge voluntarily presented himself to the CASA Office as requested.
"I strongly condemn the action by Mr. Kiponge, the Board and Management of NAC in not preventing
the closure of the Port Moresby Jacksons airport and disrupting the much need service to the people
of PNG on the morning of the 12 November 2022."
NAC through social media has made a claim that the police action is an act of terrorism. The fact of
the matter is the Police were performing their normal duties in accordance with the Police Act and the
Civil Aviation Act 2000.
The MD NAC supported by the NAC Board and Management have demonstrated a lack of
understanding of the Civil Aviation Act 2000 in relation to the powers of the Police when describing
the Police action as an act of terrorism.
"I strongly condemn this blunder. I commend the Police Force for the professionalism in their conduct in restoring order at the Port Moresby Jacksons Airport contrary to the claims of NAC that they lifted the NOTAM."
CASA PNG has performed its mandated duty under the Civil Aviation Act to charge Mr. Kiponge on
Friday 11th November 2022 for breaching Section 280.
"The Department of Transport and the Civil Aviation Agencies and Enterprises under my responsibility as a minimum are expected to uphold PNG Laws as well as ensure services are delivered to our people."
"I fully support Prime Minister James Marapeâs direction for a full investigation into the events of the morning of Saturday, November 12, 2022, when the airport security blocked off the airport - affecting daily operations of international and domestic flights and that those involved be charged forthwith."
The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) will perform a Security Validation Mission in
May 2023 and a full Safety audit in June 2023.
"As Minister responsible I will make sure that necessary actions are taken to protect PNG will not be affected by taking the necessary actions to prevent closure of International Operations," said Schnaubelt.

IPA DELIVERS AWARENESS & TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR NGI REGION
The Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) delivered a stakeholder awareness and training workshop for the New Guinea Islands Region in Kokopo from 27th â 28th October 2022.
The awareness was geared towards training and building the capacity of New Guinea Islands Provincial Commerce Officers and Business Development Officers from the districts by providing awareness on the IPA functions and the key legislative and systems changes and processes.
The awareness focused on different Acts administered by the IPA, functional duties of the key Divisions and Units within the Investment Promotion Authority, and current regulatory and legislative reforms that IPA is undertaking.
Furthermore, it focused mostly on the rollout of the Online Registry Service.
The overall program was based on the theme: Connecting everyone and making our system workâ
Provincial commerce officers and BDOs from the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, West New Britain, East New Britain, New Ireland and Manus provinces participated in the two-days training sessions.
The training was officiated by the Managing Director of the Investment Promotion Authority, Mr. Clarence Hoot.
Mr. Hoot outlined the main aim of the training program and challenged the participants to learn as much as they could and be able to deliver the services in their respective provinces for our simple people.
Senior Managers and officers from IPA conducted the two days training program. The participants expressed their
sincere appreciation and gratitude to IPA for facilitating such a useful training which now empowers them to better serve the people in rural areas.
After the training, the commerce officers were awarded with certificates of participation.
There was also notable interest from the general public in East New Britain Province who attended the awareness program.
Many expressed their interest indicating IPA should continue to roll out such awareness and training programs annually and empower Papua New Guineans to venture into SME businesses.
Some of the general comments received from the participants include awareness on how to assist SMEs to bring their products to the market and opportunities for joint venture (JV) partnerships with foreign investors.
Complementing IPAâs awareness program, there were also sessions delivered by other private and government agencies, especially the National Development Bank (NDB) and the Internal Revenue Commission (IRC).
The NDB made its presentation on its small business loan (SME) products whilst IRC presented on Small Business Tax Regime.
The IPA team accompanied by some provincial commerce officers also made awareness presentations to the students of the University of Natural Resources and Environment which was well received.
The students and lecturers registered their interest for future such events to be delivered as well.
Mr. Hoot has made a call that provincial commerce offices and business development officers within the Region should work more closely with IPA Regional Offices around the country to assist with their roles in ensuring service delivery right down to the people that matter - our rural population.
Officers from the Provincial Commerce Divisions should move away from their traditional way of operations and become more supportive to businesses and general clients by providing support services.
The IPA online registry platform by now is almost accessible to all which allows people to formalize and operate their businesses.

MEET THE ORCHIDS: BELINDA GWASAMUN
Santos PNG Orchids centre Belinda Gwasamun has set the Rugby League World Cup alight, particularly with her scintillating four-try performance against Brazil.
But, in the lead-up to the tournament, Belinda took part in a global #RLWC2021 photography project with Goal Click, taking analogue photos on disposable cameras in her hometown of Mount Hagen (in the PNG highlands) to showcase rugby league there.
Belinda says: âMy favourite photo is the one of people in Mount Hagen watching rugby league on a rustic field (below).
It shows that even though we do not have a proper stadium, kit or boots, people have such heart for playing rugby league and that we improvise with what we have.
âYou can see that the goalposts are made from bamboo and the ground is not a good pitch, but so many people are watching because they love the sport.
In Mount Hagen it is different from Port Moresby.
In Port Moresby they have everything. In the highlands we hardly have anything, but we still take part just because we love rugby league.â

NZ WIN 34-31 IN A THRILLING 7's MATCH AGAINST ENGLAND
New Zealand has beaten England in an extraordinary Rugby World Cup final in front of a record 42,579 at Auckland's Eden Park.
Winger Ayesha Leti-l'iga scored a try nine minutes from time to edge the Black Ferns ahead for just the second time in a pulsating match, 34-31.
England, who played for more than two-thirds of the match with 14 women after Lydia Thompson was sent off for a reckless tackle after just 18 minutes, had a chance to drive the ball over the line from a five-metre lineout â a tactic that had already bought four tries in the game.
However, the Black Ferns stopped the drive first time, and then Joanah Ngan-Woo stuck up a hand to steal the lineout and send the Black Ferns and their legions of fans wild.
It crowned a sixth World Cup title for New Zealand and bought an end to three years of utter domination from England's women, who had won 30 games in a row â including twice thrashing New Zealand.
"I'm so proud of our team," New Zealand co-captain and player of the match Ruahei Demant said.
"Last year we went on the northern tour and we got pumped. We sacrificed so much to get the one chance to win a World Cup at home and we did it.
"We hope we have made our country proud and inspired the next generation of Black Ferns."
A hat-trick from hooker Amy Cokayne off the rolling maul and tries from flanker Marlie Packer and fullback Ellie Kildunne had kept England ahead for all but 15 of the 80 minutes.
[caption id="attachment_30301" align="alignnone" width="906"] New Zealand went toe to toe with England in a pulsating final.(Getty Images: Fiona Goodall/World Rugby)[/caption]
"Sport can be cruel at times," England captain Sarah Hunter said. "I'm just so proud of the way this team have shown up, not just tonight but over the last three years. I hope that one result doesn't define the team.
"We gave everything tonight and unfortunately it wasn't enough to take the trophy home."
England started at a canter and were two tries to the good before Thompson was dismissed.
Woodman was taken off the pitch on a motorised stretcher after the red card incident but New Zealand immediately cut the deficit with a try from a lineout drive through hooker Georgia Ponsonby.
The English fired up their well-oiled machine of a rolling maul with every opportunity and flanker Packer was the next to benefit to extend their lead and give the Red Roses a 12th try of the tournament from the manoeuvre.
Leti-l'iga had replaced Woodman and she finished brilliantly after 25 minutes to get New Zealand back within five points but Cokayne was soon touching down again off another catch-and-drive to put England ahead 26-14.
New Zealand prop Amy Rule cut the deficit from yet another maul to cut the lead to 26-19 at the break and the Black Ferns made it a two-point game straight from the second-half kick-off with a stunning try from Fluhler.
The hosts went ahead for the first time at 29-26 in the 49th minute when replacement prop Krystal Murray crashed over from a blindside move with her first touch of the ball after a 50-22 from scrumhalf Kendra Cocksedge.
England went back to the driving maul to give Cokayne her hat-trick five minutes later, however, and New Zealand co-captain Kennedy Simon was sent to the sin bin in the 65th minute.
The Red Roses had their chances after Leti-l'iga's second try but put their trust in the lineout drive rather than level the scores with a penalty, a trust that was betrayed when New Zealand turned over the final lineout.

PNG DISCUSSES PRIORITY AREAS UNDER THE COUNTRY'S NAP
Papua New Guinea (PNG) met with Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) on a bilateral discussion on Friday at the annual United Nations Climate Negotiations (COP 27), Egypt.
The bilateral was to discuss priority areas under the countryâs National Adaptation Plan (NAP) of which GGGI can support as a delivery partner.
The priority areas include infrastructure, health, agriculture and transport; the type of support needed to implement projects on the ground in response to climate change.
PNG was represented by Minister for Environment, Conservation and Climate Change, honorable Simo Kilepa and GGGI was represented by Director General, Frank Rijsberman.
During the bilateral meeting, Minister Kilepa acknowledged GGGI for their technical support back in the country, as a delivery partner in implementing adaptation programs under the Climate Resilient Green Growth (CRGG) project phase one.
Minister Kilepa said, the NAP priorities are crucial for PNG in building its resilience against climate change, however, can only be implemented successfully if financial sources are established and accessed to implement them.
âWe would appreciate technical support to accessing financing of the implementation of the National Adaptation Plan priorities which include infrastructure, health, agriculture and transport. The CRGG project moving forward into phase two, will need to aim towards thatâ, said Minister Kilepa.
âAt this stage, efforts to mobilize climate and green investments is needed. Within the next five years, we appreciate the support of GGGI to mobilize finance for PNG to implement its priorities, both adaptation and mitigation. This will help PNG meet its ambition goalsâ, said Mr. Kilepa.
Minister Kilepa also highlighted that the GGGIâs support towards climate negotiations also need to be upscaled to involve sectors in the country to understand this process in the areas of climate change adaptation, mitigation and financing so that all sectors are on the same wavelength.
Frank Rijsberman of GGGI upon acknowledging Minister Kilepaâs remarks, expressed contentment of GGGIâs partnership with the PNG Government on the CRGG interventions in the country and reassured GGGIâs continued partnership.
âWe are happy to work with PNG in partnership with Australia to support the CRGG projects in PNG at 350 million dollars for the next five years.
âThat can only happen with the support of the PNG government, the Ministry for Climate Change, and other key agencies and of course with the support of everybodyâ, said Rijsberman.
Minister Kilepa in acknowledging GGGIâs commitment, said with the support, PNG also expects to see mainstreaming of climate change into sector policies, plans and budget at the provincial levels in the coming years.

KWIKILA SEC, FIRST CENTRAL SCHOOL WITH ICT SERVICE
Teachers and students of Kwikila Secondary School in the Central Province witnessed a new era after 63 years in the life of the school â the launching of a new Information Communication and Technology Learning Centre facilitated by NICTA.
Kwikila Secondary has over a thousand students, and is the first school in the Central Province that is now well equipped with ICT services after the launch last week.
The secondary school was graced with the presence of the Information Communications & Technology Minister Timothy Masiu who was on ground for the grand launch of the ICT lab in front of teachers, students and the community on Thursday.
Minister Masiu said the Prime Minister himself made a profound statement: âWe must ensure no child is left behind in education.
Every PNG child must be educated; it is their right.â He said we must utilize digital technology to educate our children.
âI am happy we are finally here to launch this very important infrastructure and thank you for a wonderful welcome,â said Minister Masiu.
Mr Masiu said the launch of the ICT lab was significant for the students, staff and surrounding communities because utilizing digital technology has finally become a reality for them.
âThe use of ICT today is important. ICT permeates all aspects of life, providing newer, better and quicker ways for our people to interact, network, seek help, gain access to information, and learn,â said Masiu.
He said besides its presence everywhere, Information and Communication Technology has an immense economic significance.
Minister Masiu assured the student body that the presence of internet and an E-library for Kwikila Secondary School makes available to students numerous research material and teaching content that would not otherwise be available in a physical school library.
âThrough the internet the school will be up to date with the latest news and information.â
Minister Masiu said the Department of ICT and NICTA has strategic plans to extend the ICT service to schools, health facilities, districts and provincial administration to have better access particularly in the rural areas.
The Minister also paid special respects to a senior officer with NICTA who was the brains behind this project that had passed on earlier on this month.

MEET THE ORCHIDS: CAROL HUMEU
Carol Humeu is the most capped Orchid and will make her tenth test appearance for PNG against Australia in next weekâs Rugby League World Cup semi-final.
As one of the pioneer players in the re-established Port Moresby womenâs rugby league competition, Carol began playing in 2011 and was selected for the Orchidsâ debut RLWC appearance in 2017.
She was player of the tournament in that event and captained her country in 2018.
Over more than a decade playing rugby league in PNGâs capital, Carol has experienced changing public sentiment towards the womenâs game.
âWhen I started playing men would throw things at us,â she recalls. âEven when we played our first ever Orchids match in 2017 in Port Moresby (against Australia), the home crowd were throwing things at us when we did our lap of honour, and we had to run off the field.â
In the lead-up to #RLWC2021, alongside teammate Belinda Gwasamun and players from other nations, Carol took part in a global photography project with Goal Click, taking analogue photos on disposable cameras of her life as a woman in rugby league in Port Moresby.
Some of her photos depict the change she has witnessed since womenâs rugby league started becoming more popular and accepted. She explains:
âI photographed training with my local club, Tarangau, where we train together with the menâs team, who are very supportive of us. We train together so they can push us through training.
âPreviously when women started playing rugby league, nobody wanted to support it, but this is changing. The players get more support from their family and friends these days.â

SAMOA CAPTAIN TO PLAY IN FINALS AFTER BEEN CLEARED OF LIFTING TACKLE
Samoa captain Junior Paulo has been cleared to play in next weekend's World Cup final against Australia after receiving a caution for a lifting tackle on England prop Tom Burgess.
Paulo, who successfully challenged a striking charge after last weekendâs historic defeat of Tonga, was sin-binned for the 13th minute incident but returned to lead Samoa to the biggest win by any Pacific nation after downing England 27-26 in golden point.
Fellow Samoa prop Royce Hunt also received a caution for his involvement in the tackle, while England forward Morgan Knowles received a one-match ban for dangerous contact and John Bateman was cautioned for contrary behaviour.
England coach Shaun Wane and Burgess had called for Paulo to be allowed to play in November 19 final at Old Trafford.
[caption id="attachment_30271" align="alignnone" width="906"] Match Highlights: England v Samoa[/caption]
A shattered Wane was in tears as he addressed the media after the match but the England coach threw his support behind Paulo and said he believed Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga would also want the Samoa captain to play.
âThe way this World Cup has been refereed has been fantastic,â Wane said. âTheyâve let the players play. Iâm glad he didnât get sent off.
âI donât think Mal [Meninga] would want him missing the game, thatâs not the way this World Cup has been and everyone wants to see a strong Australia and a strong Samoa. I donât think he should be [suspended].â
Burgess also backed Paulo to play, saying: âHe should definitely play the final, there was nothing in it.
âIt was just the way the tackle went,â Burgess told Fox Sports. âHe should not miss a week for that, no way. I was fineâ.
Samoa coach Matt Parish expects Sea Eagles prop Martin Taupau to be available for the World Cup final but hooker Faâamanu Brown is set to be ruled out due to England's 11-day stand down rule for players suffering a head knock.
After losing backs Tyrone May, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Izack Tago to injury in the opening match against England, Samoa were also without hooker Danny Levi due to family reasons.
